It worked well until it didn't work at all.

I had this machine and have successfully assembled several battery packs. It takes some tweaking to get a decent weld, and the electrodes burn out pretty quickly. My big problem is that after welding 175 battery cells the device doesn't work. I thought I was ok because it's the "top of the line" Sunkko. Should have found out. Save yourself the headache and get Kweld from Germany, much better.

Completely dissatisfied with the weld quality or consistency.

Absolutely not suitable for welding nickel of any consistency over 0.15 mm. Even then, the weld barely holds the batteries. Worry about the vibrations tearing the welds, they're that bad. I contacted the company but they needed the original purchase receipts, welding videos, samples and settings that I used, then they didn't offer any help. I eventually found that the handles were the problem, so I had to buy a set of fixed welding electrodes to put more tension on the material. Apparently, the

Best Spot Welder

I love this business. I just did 70 spot welds in quick succession and it performed like a champ considering it was pretty warm up until then and needed to cool down. The settings are a bit strange, you have to change the number of pulses under the button's pins and on the screen. Once you get the settings for what you're working on, this thing will get the job done just fine. One thing you might want to consider is buying a deoxytherizer or thermal paste to strengthen the connection for an…

So far, so good! in Welding Equipment

I have spot welded several batteries (less than 50) so far. I wish I could give 4-1/2 stars. The strips included in the kit did not have an acceptable weld even when using the highest settings. At the moment I don't know if the supplied strips are a problem or if the welder isn't getting enough power for the supplied strips. I checked (with a micrometer) the thickness of the strips to see what I was actually working with. The supplied strips are 0.142 mm thick. The 0.14 mm thick strips were…
