It cuts like in a dream, it moves about the same.

This cable cuts clean with my compression gauges every time. Good cable and housing cutters but not designed for parks or other bike tools.

Pros
  • Good cause
Cons
  • Alright

Smooth and flexible

Cables can often rust inside the housing, so changing the jacket is just as important as upgrading the cable itself. Get the smooth ride you want by servicing both exchange.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Vulgarity

New life for an old friend.

Good for what I did, replacing cables with an old friend. Cut the chassis wire cleanly with Jagwire cutter wire and chassis pliers. No problem. I added some lube just in case but still way better than I expected.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some shortcomings

Great for the price.

Not a bad model for the price. The cable gauge is narrower than a Shimano cable, which tells me it may not be as strong. However, it seems to be working fine. I like working on my bike so for the price it's good to buy in bulk. The price is great considering most bike shops charge $5 per linear foot.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Works great on all bikes

I work with bikes a lot and changing cables is probably the first thing I do most of the time. The cable sets are pretty expensive and are really starting to add up. I just take this spool of chassis cable and then buy cheap bundles of internal cables separately. They worked great on both classic (friction) and modern (indexed) derailleurs. No questions.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good place to stay. Sweet.

I love this suitcase set, you get a decent amount of them and they are of decent quality. It's not as rigid as competing brands, but it seems to work just as well. The inner layer is smooth, but I still lubricated it with dry Teflon grease from FINISHLINE. I use it with Shimano stainless steel inner cables. Great combination. If you are a small business or need shifter cables in your garage full of bikes, buy this. I even use it on my Shimano Deore and Deore XT 2x/10 shifters and there is…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

$1/ft Shift Cable

I didn't know there was a difference between shift cable and brake housing until I tried to diagnose bad shifting on my Shimano Nexus 8 speed hub. I bought a used bike and replaced all the wiring and covers on it as the original ones were old and rusty. The brakes worked great but shifting sucked. I figured I bought the bike with a broken hub as it would slip and wobble between gears, not turning on sometimes and turning on again at other times. Well, even the smartest people make mistakes, and

Pros
  • Slim Design
Cons
  • Long Lead Time
