Sunlite Daylight FML27 6500K CD1 Bulb Review

The lightbulb of my favorite lamp is finally dead after 14 years! The lamp came with an extra bulb, but that was 14 years ago! I don't know where I put it 14 years ago! So I used Google Lens to determine the type of lightbulb and it sent me here! The lamp arrived the next day and works great! Hope it lasts 14 years!

Bought to replace a Lights of America lamp that has been in use for many years. When the light is on, the bulb generates so much heat that the light goes out and comes on again after the bulb cools down. Looks like a fire hazard. It is a pity that this is an unusable product due to the low quality.

I have 4 lights that use these bulbs so 2 packs are a value. I wish they were sold in packs of 4 or 6. I keep one on hand for my plants 24/7 and probably swap it out once a year. This light is like sunlight and my plants thrive under it. I gave 3 stars for the packaging because it came in a padded envelope and not a box. I highly recommend these pears.

The bulb arrived on July 15th and died before December 15th. Supposedly 10,000 hours, but it's not. Here's the math: He died within 5 months (and this review was written before the 15th). If used for 8 hours each day and we use an average of 30 days per month (the extra days leading up to the 15th include 31 day months) then this lamp would last 1200 hours. I ordered this bulb, it died on arrival. The packaging was fine, but the bulb rattled and would not come on. Revain quickly exchanged it, but it came in a box with inadequate padding and about a quarter pound of lead fishing weights. The bulb rattled, glowed, but dimly and flickered. I have a Verilux bulb, Happy Eyes from 2005. My sister's kids threw it off my desk and smashed a light bulb in 2007 and it hasn't worked since then until Saturday.
