It only worked for a few weeks

When I first bought it it only worked well for about 2 weeks after which my lights started flickering and it was always dim. I returned it and bought another one thinking the first one was defective. 2nd, did the same but lasted 4 weeks. I wanted to return it but haven't seen any other options to return it so I guess I'm out of luck.

Working but needs modification

As this ballast is an 8 wire version which can also replace the old 9 wire version a wiring diagram is required for proper installation. I found the schematic online and made the necessary changes. This installation should not be attempted by persons unfamiliar with electrical wiring, electrical safety, basic wiring tools, and proper wire nuts. It would be helpful to include printed instructions with the ballasts. Once installed correctly, it worked flawlessly.

Wiring has changed

The old ballast had 4 yellow wires to complete the circuit for each bulb. This made it possible to have only 1 bulb in the lamp to reduce the brightness. The new ballast has only two yellow wires. 1 to the socket of each bulb, and then you need to install a jumper between the two sockets. The lamp no longer works with only 1 bulb, you have to put 2 in the lamp.

I am very grateful for the prompt receipt of the ballast as it was needed for the main bathroom lighting. The part number and what it looked like online was identical to what was in my mount. However, as we prepared to install a new ballast, we found that it had 2 fewer wires than the original one. The description on the site says nothing about it. Finally 2 days later we found an electrician to do the wiring (we didn't want to mess it up ourselves due to the missing wires) which left us in the

difference from the original design. Be careful before buying.

I bought this to replace an old Sunpark SL15 ballast that was used for 2 round bulbs with T9 fittings. As shown in the picture, the old ballast (pictured above) has two 4-pin T9 sockets that connect to 4 pins on the bulbs. However, the one I bought (pictured below), which looks like a new design, has a different wiring pattern and doesn't have two 4-pin connectors, so it's not compatible with the old design. Sunpark did a really lousy job replacing an existing product, they drastically changed…
