I've had three of these (including replacements) in as many years. After about a year, they tend to boil constantly, evaporating all the water.

I bought this product before I found any significant negative reviews about it. Although it looks very nice and does the job of heating water, the electric dispenser doesn't work most of the time. It works well when the item is full, but from 3/4 full it starts cavitating and similarly tries to draw liquid out of a straw with a hole in it. I would have to press and release it repeatedly for it to work properly. Often 10-15 times. Forget about getting hot water with a pump when it's only 1 liter

Totally agree with ItRachel. I bought this SPT 3.6L from the Revain store just before Christmas at great prices. He arrived on time. However, when I used it, the hot water got a very strong chemical taste. After washing, scrubbing and rinsing several times in the past month, the problem is still there. So my guess is that there are harmful chemicals in either the metal or the plastic material. Now I just put this product aside. Consider returning this item. After reading ItRachel's experience I
