Great product for the price.

Worked really well on my motorcycle head. Great price, arrived quickly. I ended up ordering a pack of SS ties as this set only comes with one pair which is not enough for my project. Be sure to wear gloves/long sleeves when handling. Also note that for the first few minutes the film smokes like it's about to catch fire. I actually ran the fan over the manifold and let the bike idle for about 15 minutes to let it burn off the oil. and a fire extinguisher was on hand just in case.

Looks good on my V-Star 1100

I was pulled off the road by a gardener and my pipes were dented and scratched. I tried removing the rust, sanding them and painting them with VHT ceramic paint but it looked awful. These pads completely hide dents and rust. I bought two of these to cover the exhaust on my V-Star 1100. They were very difficult to put on, mainly because the heat shields and mufflers were welded together so I couldn't get the wrap around my back; I had to drag it between the pipes every time. **Be sure to seal…

Things to know before you buy

Installation was very easy. Things you won't know until you buy: * Put on tons of protective clothing and burn it immediately after installation. Fiberglass is in every inch of your exposed skin. You will be itching within 36 hours. * As it heals your pipes, it burns what smells like toxic chemicals. I have no idea if it's toxic or not, it just smells like they're not supposed to breathe. *Instructions clearly include spraying high temperature silicone spray after installation. I don't really…

Fantastic product that works as it should!

I don't know why there are complaints. Itchy? Yes, it's fiberglass! Disappears? Any film is suitable as long as it is not sealed and retouched from time to time. Has the heating failed? Not enough coverage. Dissolve? You may not have tightened it enough. If you're new, here's a quick guide: Get good gloves. Not wearing your favorite shirt, add a few drops of Dawn to 1/4 gallon of water (helps pull the material tighter. Quickly dip in water for a minute, pinch the end, and use a 75 overlap %…

Excellent quality; tightly packed, no problems in the last 2 months

Be sure to follow the installation instructions. IF YOU ARE ADJUSTING TO A BLACK BIKE I WANT I BUY THE WHITE SHELL INSTEAD OF THE BLACK SHELL. This is because you still have to spray the foil or they will turn white so you can start with white foils to make it easier to see if you missed a spot by spraying them black. I would recommend leaving the entire reel submerged in a bucket of water and pulling it out while you wind the whistle. Be sure to spray the bandages with silicone coated spray…

Good for the price

This is one of the easiest to install slides I have ever worked with. You can easily apply the required tightening torque to any tangent of your coils and this ensures a tight enough wrap to add to their durability. It also doesn't carry nearly as much as others I've used. It's a bit fragile and I just installed it so I can't be sure it will last the life of the car so to speak. then be there for at least three days. I found that even in long pants, long socks, a long shirt, etc., I still had…

Quality, follow the installation instructions like me

I soaked the packaging for thirty minutes, emptied the bucket (which btw didn't bleed at all as happened to someone else), then started over the end of my pipe (removed) and worked forward. Overlap 0.75”. To start the twist, I folded an inch, rolled once vertically, and started increasing the angle. After two turns I installed the mounting tape. Then I rolled up and finished exactly as I started. I added 2 straps on top and 1 on bottom in total, very comfortable. I let it dry for two days and…
