As the plate should be

Do yourself a favor and replace the original part and the standard tripod quick release plate (which will most likely twist if it's supposed to be held) with this part. Now you always have a tripod mount and quick release plate in one and no more accidental twisting. Works and looks great

  • Finally bought

  • Poor set

Don't be afraid of the "smaller " brand. Here's a good sentence.

I didn't want to buy a lesser known brand. I stopped several twice as expensive and more expensive. I'm glad my wallet made the decision. This is a quality kit and it looks great on the lens. The Arca Swiss plate fits my Arca Swiss quick release snugly and attaches as well or better than any other plate I've tried. Buy this product. You will not be disappointed.

Cheaper alternative to the Kirk or RRS lens stem

When I first got the lens stem and put it on my lens I couldn't tighten the knob on the lens enough where the stem wasn't relaxed. I removed the stem from the lens, tightened it a few times and removed it, then put it back on the lens. Now when you tighten it on the lens, it's solid as a rock and doesn't move at all. This is a good lens mount at a much cheaper price than Kirk or RRS lens mounts. I would buy it again if I had to make it over and over again.

Pros
  • Like all still
Cons
  • Communication with seller

It can work, it can't.

My review is ambiguous. I bought this for economy, but when I mounted the mount the base was "wavy" as it wasn't firmly fixed. I did a little reading here and there and found that the attachment plate on the collar could be an issue so I ended up tightening them as they were loose. The problem is solved? Unfortunately there aren't any. Still wobbles a bit, which is a bit annoying when shooting sports with a monopod. I ended up buying the Really Right Stuff product for a little over double the…
