Description of ๐Ÿ”Œ SupaHub Cable Splitter Controller for Enhanced SEO

8 Ports Integrated on One SATA Card: With SupaHub 8 port PCIe SATA card, you are able to add 8 SATA III 6Gb/s drives for your desktop. Lenovo and Dell computers block the BIOS interface of any third-party SATA Controller, it may lead to unpredictable compatibility issues or the SATA card can not be read. Lenovo and Dell computer users should be careful when placing an order for SATA controller card. Built-in Marvell 88SE9215 + JMicron JMB5xx chip, the stability and compatibility of this PCIe to SATA card have been improved. This PCIe SATA card does not support RAID. Supports Windows 7/8/10. Driver installation is required to avoid issues like "not all ports working" "won't power up" "slot empty". Multiple hard drives requires sufficient power so that to avoid "drop channel" "not working" an so on. Using multiple OS only supports Windows. You must turn off the power before pluging the SATA PCIe card into motherboard or removing it. Compliant with PCI-Express v2.0 specifications, backward compatible with PCI-Express v1.0. For higher speed, motherboard needs to be PCIe 2.0(GEN2, fastest speed 380-450 MB/s) or above, plug the 8 port SATA PCIe card into x16 slot. Old motherboard x16 slot probably reach PCIe 2.0 speed, but other slots(x1/4/8) not. Fastest PCIe 1.0 (GEN1) speed with is 200-300 MB/s. Actual speed depends on PCIe bandwidth of motherboard. If all ports are used at the same time, the speed will be slow down. PCIe x1 interface: This SATA expansion card 8 Port is compatible with PCIe x1, x4, x8, x16, not compatible with PCI slot. Ready to use, FreeBSD compatible (eg Xigmanas)

Great little controller board. Recognizes all my Seagate Exos 8TB drives in SATA 3 mode, works out of the box in FreeBSD 9.2 and higher kernels (works in Xigmanas 12.1 and works great). No additional drivers are required. I just wish the included SATA cables were longer, or at least had a mix of 90 degree angled heads instead of being all regular straight connectors.

Used with TrueNAS Core

I built TrueNas for home use and used SupaHub SATA 8 for a 5 drive ZFS array and 2 drive mirror boot. The motherboard I used already had 6 SATA connectors and they were used for a 5 drive ZFS spare array. I connected everything, installed TrueNAS and that's it. All drives were detected and configured as expected. Has been running for about a month with no problems. If you look at the picture and wonder about the cooler. This is NoFan CR-95. They went out of business a few years ago.

Hello. I bought two of these 8 port SupaHub SATA cards but my computer won't boot when I install the card. I've already tried the two PCIE x1 ports that my MSI B550M PRO VDH WIFI motherboard has, I've already tried removing all drives and the M2 I thought freeing up the PCIE lanes would work, but even if only the SSD SATA is left where the OS is, even the SupaHub SATA card 8 port didn't work. I would be grateful if someone could help me. In summary, my computer does not boot when I have theโ€ฆ

UPDATE: DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED SATA SPLITTER

Use it to run multiple hard drives on a server in zfs. Raidz sees the connections and reading and writing works fine for me. Like the map. I don't even think I need any drivers. Which is amazing. *** UPDATE *** The card is still awesome, but the included SATA route doesn't deliver enough power to each of the ports and all my drives keep getting errors to the point where multiple drives are showing 'failed' are displayed. This is because the SATA connector is rated for 1.5 amps. and 0.55 ampsโ€ฆ
