Great for the home

I always kept a bottle of this in the garage, last time I bought it leaked about half a bottle but it does what it says on the tin, sometimes we just have to be left hanging.

Works well with spoke nipple threads

I used this to loosen some bike wheel spokes that wouldn't straighten. It works well, especially if you leave it on for a while. The product is very runny, as a penetrating oil should be, and really penetrates threads (and everywhere else). The cap design is thin and it doesn't fit. The company should probably spend another 5 cents and get a cap that fits just right.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • boring packaging

I don't know what's in this rust remover, but it appears to be more volatile than WD-40. I've tried this twice and both times allowed it to "flow" into the streams. Nothing at all. Nothing "breaks". Useless. I have to say that…

Good product but not good enough for steel cutting

Excellent product. Used it on the center assembly of our 11 year old washing machine. Unfortunately, the lock nut stuck to the knot underneath. The Rust Buster liquid removed all of the surface rust, but after six hours of screwing in the right direction for this reverse-thread nut, it wouldn't come loose, so I sawed it off with a hacksaw. After that, repair was easy (although we never fixed the leak we were trying to fix and ended up buying a new washing machine). I was disappointed in the…
