I had purchased a couple string of these lights 4 years ago but they were starting to have issues so I purchased 4 new strings. Out of the box they all looked great and, with the upgrades solar panels, I assumed that they would stay lit longer. However, after I put them up I discovered that on two set, only half the string lit up. Worked great for bringing extra light to our social distance Halloween treat table. Here’s the weird thing: you have to push the button "on” in order for it to charge during the day, but there is no way to tell that it’s actually on. And they don’t turn on until it’s actually night. Really like these lights as they seem well made and they cast off a nice warm light. My only issue is how they are packed. The wire is wrapped around a cardboard spool and you would think that once you installed the solar panel you would unspool the wire to install it. But you can’t do it as the wire is spoiled backwards. The end of the wire is on top of the spool and the beginning, where it is attached to the solar panel is buried inside the spool. OK but don’t last more than a year so only buy them cheap. 1 of the 2 still works. The other is totally defunct. Buttons on panel didn’t always turn them on, couldn’t turn them off. Now I can’t get them on at all. Of course this happened months outside the return policy but I laid all 72 ft out just for them to be useless… while the other half still work. They also did not come with a remote so not sure why review keeps saying to mention that… a remote actually might fix the issue as the button

I am reviewing the BHC 2 pack solar lights - when I got the product the first time, one of the lights was not working, so I got in touch with the seller, and they sent me another pack of lights. All is working now. Thank you for the great customer service. Nice lights too!

These are long and have a pretty large solar panel. But they won’t stay on the same setting. I’ll put them on "stay on” at night but they go through a changing cycle and the next night will be on flash or blinking or slow fade. It’s annoying

Bought to light up the rails on my outside steps but when taking them out of the pack they broke. Other than being very brittle they where ok.

I sincerely wish they would offer these lights without the "8 different modes”. This is my third set now and they all do the same thing. I spend hours wrapping them around my trees and arches and set them on the constant mode. After about 2 days they all default to the flashing mode- which makes my garden look like Vegas and about gives me a seizure. I have tried holding down the button for 5 seconds as someone recommended-still changes to the flashing mode. It’s too much of a hassle to unwind…

It charges well even without direct sunlight, and is not damaged by rain.Adds nice atmosphere to the sitting space in my yard.

This is the second time I have purchased this brand of lights. With each order, one of the two strands works great, the other would only stay on for a short period of time. They will come back on if I turn them off and back on again, but go out after a few minutes. This doesn’t happen while they’re laying on a table outside for the first few days until I make sure they work well before stringing them on a fence or a tree, etc. So each time this happens, I have to take down both the good and bad

I have tried a number of different Solar lights. It seems as those a large number of companies (that no one has ever heard of) produce a vast number of similar type of products. I’m my experience, the quality of such items can be a complete crapshoot. Some work well from the start and can last a number of years out in the elements. Others will start out strong and barley last a season. It’s important to keep in mind, that even when working perfectly, these type of lights are not very bright…

These lights are absolutely beautiful in my gazebo and trailing vine on the wall. Makes my garden so festive for the season.

I wanted a little bit of light to decorate our deck at night so went with these. I just wrapped them around the railings and stuck one panel in a flower pot and attached the other to the deck post and it worked perfectly. I’m actually debating another set because I like them so much. Just don’t get them tangled ‘cause it’s a B to untangle; that’s on you though. They come nicely wrapped.

Edit 18Oct2019:Temporarily installed these in my now completed gazebo to see how well they worked. They are dimmer than I hoped. Not as much ambient light at seat level as I would like. They do provide a cool "starry" effect that I like. Took a picture to try and capture how bright they appear to me. The picture shows some of the gazebo with no other lighting. Have strung both sets of lights in a semi-forest area that faces the front of the house. The lighting soften the area. No need to put on the porch lights to sit out side. The lights give enough illumination.

Bought these for my mom's yard. They were very pretty the first couple of nights and I had them set on steady. After that I couldn't stop them from blinking all the time. Not sure why I can't change the setting but not very happy having it so "flashy" out there in the yard at night. Disappointed for sure.

There was a problem in that one of the strings never turned on at all and the one that did illuminate stayed on for only an hour or so despite both string solar plates being in the sun for the better part of the day. Compared to other solar lights I've used, this product rates poorly. The solar plate is in my front window which gets plenty of sun. However the lights are weak and fade out after about 4 hours. I wouldn't recommend this brand of solar lights.
