Fixed Rear Dolphin

2021 Sierra 1500: This car used to behave like a large marine mammal at every flyover. I've tried better shock absorbers which helped but didn't completely fix the situation. You have completely fixed the unloading problem. I have yet to test them with bed weights but I expect sumo springs to be much better.

Pros

Great product for warm climates but not for cold climates

Easy to install. The installation was completed in about 20 minutes. Great when towing my caravan. Rides very hard without a trailer when going over bumps. UPDATE - absolutely HATE them in winter. You seem to be freezing 24/7. You hit a bump and it hits so hard it's unbearable. NOT recommended for cold climates.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Can be damaged

Works great on my truck!

I installed them on my 2021 GMC Sierra. Getting tools into this area is not easy, even when the truck is fully jacked up. You have an outlet and a long extension cord, but not too long as it doesn't fit in the tight space. I ended up putting them on and then pulling out a 7000 lb trailer and that helped a lot against the truck sag. Drive and tow well.

Easy to install Fits replacement parts

This is a great product that works as advertised. Ease of installation. It took longer to get the jack and tools than to install. I recommend them as an alternative to adding springs or airbags if you don't need them often. They don't interfere with your normal ride but give you that little extra when you need it and really help with stability. Put them on my 2021 Chevy 1500 in about 30 minutes if at all. Loaded the bed with food for a five-hour drive the next day. Handled well and didn't have…

Great Product: Coil Springs

I had Timbren bumpers on my previous truck and they worked great for towing but when not towing I was very disappointed with my truck's ride, felt like my half Ton. It was a one ton wagon. I was skeptical about Sumo Springs but decided to give it a try and they worked great! When the truck is empty or not being towed, the ride quality hasn't changed one iota. This weekend I had my first chance to ride with them. Towed a closed trailer with a full size old heavy vehicle. As expected, the rear…

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Definitely Bad Product

Not as expected but they work fine.

First, the real company is responsive and easy to work with. They offer a military discount and looked at the model I need for my truck but they would be a few weeks slower getting it direct from the company. I installed it on my 2019 Silverado High Country to help tow my 6,000 lb RV. At first they barely touched the axle, even with the RV (700lb hitch) so I had to go back and install a spacer. The process was quick, no more than 40 minutes. I don't notice the springs engaging during daily…

75% of my dolphin is gone!

Installed professionally on my 2020 Chevy Silverado SRT 6.2 in about 15 minutes. We are towing a 7,500 lb camper and have had some issues with dolphins on the horrible roads here in Nebraska. I also don't have Max extension springs with Z71 suspension (in hindsight but didn't want to wait 6 months for a truck!). All my weights are in the vehicle. They didn't fix our problem, but probably reduced traffic by 75%. Much better cushioning now. The rebound was terrible without these installed. They…
