Wrong part in lifting legs

The product comes with the wrong part to complete the installation. I had to take the part I needed out of the old product. Hope these hold up.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Fits

So far so good on the lift legs

I just fitted them but they were the exact length of the originals (maybe they were replaced by the previous owner). When I first decided to close the hood, I had to use quite a bit of pressure to move it. I like the fact that they have an extra dust cover on the cylinder. I think this should help protect the seals in the future. And, of course, a pair costs a lot less than one from Toyota.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Perfect for 2007 Avalon Touring

I heard about these hood lifter braces from a friend. At first I was very skeptical. They were installed on a 2007 Avalon Touring that I bought used. The Avalon had no struts; he came with a broomstick! The shelves arrived neatly packed in a cardboard box. I had to attach the clamps by screwing them to the posts, but nothing special. They were easy to install, fit their part snugly and appear to be of good quality. The original hood pillars are about $90 each! I paid a cut for both racks; good…

Pros
  • New to my collection
