I bought a pack of 50 glue sticks and found them to work for my purpose. I bought these for use in 3D shapes and they worked relatively well. The shapes used a lot of glue, so I had to keep sticking glue sticks in the glue gun as I worked. This wasn't a problem for me as I will be painting them later.
