Hard, yes, but too grippy for high speed traffic

Should only be used on very bumpy mountain trails where grip is required. It is not recommended to use at higher speeds as it is very difficult to remove and reinsert the bottle; It can be dangerous when driving at high speed. I've had several instances where I've struggled to get the bottle out of the cage while still paying attention to the road, only to have it fall onto the sidewalk in surprise when it finally pops out.

Ideal for endurance or gravel bikes

Got a set for Cannondale Synapse. Nice and light, very stiff and holds the bottle up so it doesn't rattle and definitely won't drop the bottle on a bumpy road. It has a beautiful finish that will not leave scratches or marks on the bottle. Attaching the bottle requires some care, so it might not be the best option for a road bike (or for those who don't want to look like they're putting the bottle back in the cage). Includes four short screws that will not work if you are also using a cage…

Very tight for 24 ounce bottles

They are lightweight, easy to install and relatively good looking. They've been on my wife's bike for about a month now. I bought them for her! These cells are relatively small and narrow. We use 24oz Polar insulated sports bottles on our bikes. This makes it a bit more difficult for the bottles to get back into the cages during the ride. My wife dropped a few bottles trying to put them back in the cages during the drive. If they could make it easier for them to clean up the bottles while…

Bottle size matters

I bought these to replace my aluminum alloy one which had a broken weld. I tested them once in the field. I see a lot of people having a hard time putting their bottles in and I can't find any sizing information in the product description so I measured them myself and they are 2-7/8 inches in diameter. The water bottles I use are made from 20 ounce plastic and are narrow in diameter and fit snugly; I don't think I would have tried a much larger bottle. it is difficult to insert a bottle from…
