Best Crochet Hooks I love the grip, Susan Bates and Clover are two brands I will always buy for beginners. Don't buy a fight unless you use Red Heart Super Saver Yarn or Coarse Textured Yarn, you can use a cheaper crochet hook like the Boy crochet hook which is $1.20 at Walmart. Coarse yarn will scratch and eat into your hook, so if you buy red heart yarn from Walmart, you're getting a cheap hook. Comfortable grip!

I am an avid, experienced knitter. I'm used to using regular cheap aluminum hooks you can find in stores. My hands get tired and I get cramps when I crochet. I bought a few in different sizes - the bamboo handles are amazing! They take the heat off my hand and reflect it back so my hands don't hurt.
