You can't go wrong with Susan Bates needles. They're aluminum and can make a loud clicking noise when they work, but they're reliable and incredibly affordable. Due to its durability and cost, it is particularly suitable for sewerage beginners. Sometimes those with color on the stem will lose color on the tips, but I don't find that to be a problem or issue.
