Hard to find a size big enough for a canoe

Very strong Used for hanging a full size canoe on the outside wall of the barn. The only flaw was using the supplied screws for the installation, which had been completely removed before boarding, I ideally replaced them with wood studs and brackets

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Great Product - Indoor Kayak Storage

It was such a pleasure to make room in the yard and lift the kayaks off the ground where they would stay clean and free of water. I think they could be a bit cheaper but they are very heavy and should last forever. Easy to mount on the side of our shed.

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • Concise Instructions

Very satisfied. - Water sports

Easy installation. It seems safer than I expected. Easy to use, load, unload. I'm not worried about using top tie straps. I just put the kayaks on top and it could be an earthquake or someone hitting them hard to accidentally take them out of the racks.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great for a big canoe!

This goes perfectly with my 16.5 foot Old Town canoe. I didn't have to mount the 2x4 behind the rack and the straps keep it secure. I used longer screws than the ones provided just to be on the safe side (a hex head screw is easier to install and remove than a Phillips head screw).

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Expensive

Definitely what my kayaks have been looking for.

I recently bought 3 12ft kayaks to winterize in my barn. After researching, measuring, and planning a number of available options, I settled on this one. They are well built and do their job well. Now the whole wall is kayaking bliss. :-)

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Nothing here

Great product and great company!

I have an 18 foot Grumman. I attached 2x4 spacers to the wall and they are perfect for my canoe. This is an exceptionally well designed and well made product. It's also great value for money. If you have any questions about suitability for your boat, please contact the manufacturer. They were very helpful. Great product from a great company!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Not as big as advertised.

We bought this specifically because the description said it could carry a kayak up to 35 inches wide. The product itself appears solid but our 35 inch wide kayak hung over the edge. The only way to make it work is to move the racks to the extreme ends of the kayak. The manufacturer of the kayak expressly states that this is the wrong type of storage and will void your warranty. Great rack for a standard kayak, not larger or specialty kayaks.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I write back

Holds a 16ft tandem canoe, easy to install

We used them to put the canoe in the garage. This is a 16 foot canoe with a beam of about 32 inches across the middle. According to the manufacturer, we installed 2x4 pieces between the brackets and studs to accommodate the width. The hardest part of the process was cleaning out the garage and doing a bit to give us some wiggle room. It was a good experience, they are well made and they seem a lot easier than any pulley system. I don't know if I will ever need a set of canoe brackets again butโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Negative gift
