⌚ Black Strap Suunto D4I Diving Watch Review

Great purchase, meets all expectations from Suunto What I thought was 15ft was 20-30ft the whole time and helped me increase my safe bottom time

Despite the price, this wristop computer is great. Very easy to use and looks great. I'm a spear fisherman and this helped me a lot to control the depth and time of the dive. I've always wanted this Suunto and now that I have it I can say I'm very satisfied. If you like diving, you should definitely get this.

I love this computer. I gave up the D9i (it was stolen) but it still has almost everything I need for normal recreational diving. It takes a little time to figure out how to navigate through the features, but once you've done that you won't have any problems. It's fairly conservative, so as long as you keep an eye on the alarms you shouldn't have any problems. The alarms are quite loud, but you still have to be careful.

Overall I am happy with the freediver watch. The problem is that I ordered all black with USB cable and got black with chrome ring (not what I wanted but good.) but never got the USB cable! When I complained they told me to return the watch and not just send me the cable. Very poor customer service and very disappointed that I cannot connect the watch to my computer. I won't pay for a new $89 cable when it should have been included.

The button on my D4i dive computer in the top right corner fell off during a dive. Water entered the watch and damaged the computer. Beware of Suunto, poor quality and very slow customer support. Never buy anything from this brand again. Which reputable company has buttons falling off their watches? Now they want me to ship to Finland, pay for shipping, diagnose and replace the watch. No thanks, I'll buy a new watch from a different, better and more reputable brand for the same money.

This is a dive computer/watch so intuitive I just had to scan the online manual! Haven't had a chance to snorkel lately, but freediving works great! My only downside and it's not an issue with the watch or even Suunto, but some websites advertise "With USB" but it's a third party bug. So far, I am very satisfied!
