I came with an extra shower hose that goes to the hand held shower head. I wear it because I'm about to have surgery on my leg and I need an easy way to turn off the water flow after I've reached the right temperature and be able to easily use the shower head while sitting on the shower seat. This part is solidly built and runs very quietly.

Advantages: Solid brass construction, easy installation, high quality internal ceramic flow control. Disadvantages: The highest stage (ie fully open) results in a slight reduction in flow compared to before the valve was installed. (This isn't a problem for me, but be aware of that in advance.) The slider has very angular edges. (They won't intersect, but it would be better if the edges were "softer".),

It was easy to install and worked exactly how I hoped it would. Now I can easily turn the shower head on and off without turning off the hot and cold water or changing the temperature. I also use it to prevent a drip, drip, drip that I would notice at night. My hot and cold valves are old, probably original molds from when the house was built in the 70's. Sometimes they drip very slowly. Anyway, I am very satisfied with this product.

I only had to return a replacement for the first one I ordered. I failed to screw any of the 4 shower heads I tried to the outlet side of a device. One of those minds is Kohler, a quality brand. Note: The valve fits perfectly into the wall socket. I give it 2 stars as the finish is superb and the action is very smooth. So it looks like it would be a nice piece if I could use it.

I needed this to control water pressure and save hot water in my apartment. I attached it to the shower head. The lever is easy to adjust while showering. My apartment has a small water heater and there were no water pressure controls in the shower. This way my hot water runs at full pressure and barely lasts 5 minutes.
