I installed this in a home build DVR - it works great and the internal H264 compression saves a lot of processing on my host. The quality is excellent.

Camera quality and focus settings are excellent. I was hoping for depth of field in video conferencing, but couldn't find that setting. Still excellent image quality.

Finally, after several unsuccessful attempts, I found the USB camera I needed. in low light and can pick up infrared light when there is no visible light. I bought a 180 degree fisheye lens which allows you to see just over 180 degrees when combined with this camera. The metal body is good, although I plan to change it a bit. and color it. Photo taken from the tip of the nose shows the field of view. If you set up a macro and get very close, the ant will look like an alien monster. When things get too spooky, just unplug the USB cable and it'll go away. Nice dreams.

This camera is great if you are looking for a camera with adjustable zoom and focus. I don't think I'll ever use this as a webcam for zoom/skype/facetime etc. You will constantly adjust the focus. But if you're using your computer's camera function to capture time-lapse or whatever, it works fine.

I absolutely love the size, wish the unit didn't depend on a heavy metal body but it does Not . . Works great in low light. It also has an amazing field of view, only the very outer edges are a little blurry, but that's to be expected. While it's good for low light, I found that when used for low light video, I found it did a terrible job of displaying objects more than 10 meters away. There is light outside, but with another camera (https://www.amazon.com/MOKOSE-Desktop-Streaming-Calling-Computer/dp/B08FHBRKSK/ref=pd_lpo_3?pd_rd_i=B08FHBRKSK&psc=1) it just can't capture that Light.
