Works on 2X but not so well on 4X4. The first time I used it on a 4X4 the strap broke and it fell to the ground. On earth he does little.

If you're working with 2" lumber, this spirit level is fantastic. Suitable for 2" thick boards. Firm so no elastic needed. A real time saver and stays in place.

I couldn't have dreamed of a better tool to help me quickly move through the setup of my blanks. The tool fits very tightly on 2 inch (1.75 inch thick) wood. A different oscilloscope plane on the other side of the instrument would have made it ideal.

I bought this tool to help install fence posts. But I have found it very useful for almost every leveling step in wireframe projects. It holds up well on all 2, both vertically and horizontally. I attach it to a 10ft 2X4 for longer needs. A word of caution: make sure your piece of wood is perfectly straight or your results will be wrong. For the money invested, this is a great tool.

Bought for my father. We're always building something here. This month's project is a 20x40 extension to his home. The wooden magnet is made to be suitable for double material. Beams - check bolts - check traverses - check. The wood magnet also has a rubber band that isn't as well seen on the web that can be attached to any other alignment material like a 4x4 or metal bar. I would definitely recommend this article if you are looking for a level well done.
