The swimming aid is NOT a rescue device.

This is a great product for teaching children to swim and keeping up with the water. Unlike armbands, this product does not restrict hand movement. Removable panels allow parents to remove one at a time as the child becomes a stronger swimmer. Bought this for my grandson. I searched for a long time until I found it. I had a similar product for my kids in their 20's. This is one of the products that favor floating structures. A very important fact to let people know that this product is not a…

I always recommend this product to my friends.

Great product for children who are strong enough to keep their head up in the water and can already swim with a puddle jumper. This is a step in the right direction for learning to swim. This allows them to fully utilize their weapons. I had one for my daughter five years ago and bought it last summer because I love this product. The ability to remove the back and stomach pads reduces the help they receive as they become stronger swimmers. The elastics on the sides are a bit annoying to loosen…

Will definitely help my 2 year old swim faster than armbands

My almost 2 year old is already doing well in the pool this summer, so my wife has started to take an interest in swimming lessons. She met a swimming teacher who was enthusiastic about it. We didn't get ours until Saturday and I could tell right away that it's better than our puddle jumper. The puddle jump is great for sitting back and watching him play, but this device is much more convenient, so PLEASE don't think it's a life-saving device. It is not stable from left to right, allowing your…

Great tool to teach little kids to swim!

Great value for money and a fantastic tool for teaching young children to swim. No life jacket! This product is a buoyancy aid that provides buoyancy to the swimmer. You set buoyancy by adjusting the amount of buoyancy splitters in the front and back zippered pockets. The child can row as long as their head is above the waterline. As swimming skills improve, the adult can remove individual chips to help the child swim "enough". I did this with my daughter and after a few weeks (over time I…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Don't remember but there was something

not yet arrived but I've been looking for this product since my dog years. The construction is the same as the swim shoes my kids had over 20 years ago. One summer we swam every day, took the mat down every week with great fanfare, and by the end of the summer were paddling them (dog paddles) unaided the full length of the pool. I just bought two for my grandkids. I will make an addition once everything is delivered. Addendum: Both swim coaches (at two different locations) arrived on time and…

Baby learned to swim and is now swimming on his own

My son took swimming lessons but wasn't quite ready to try swimming without a watercraft. We found that when we allowed him to swim with the puddle jumpers, he became dependent on them and started losing what he had learned in swimming lessons. However, when we tried to make it swim without puddle jumping, it was too shy and not strong enough to stay afloat. Then we tried it and it changed the world. Unlike the puddle jumper, he had to use his hands. This got him back to swimming and he was…
