Buy as a last resort only

They don't melt well and are incredibly soft. Other sticks I've bought from other vendors are harder and melt much better.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Bulk

This is a 4 pack although the picture shows 10.

In the photo when I ordered them, 10 sticks are CLEARLY visible. The package (and the picture in this review) is designed for 4 Stix. TO DECEIVE.

Pros
  • Stable results when tested
Cons
  • Will write later

Ideal for scratches on the HDPE shell

I watch how you use this product. It is excellent for scratching the HDPE kayak body. Smooth out with a knife blade. Now I can go and scratch it again lol.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Exchange possible

Thinner and shorter than standard P-Tex strips.

Much smaller than I expected so not as good a value as it seemed. My fault for not looking at the specs. The good news is that a thinner rod gives you more control.

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Useless features

Thinner than most, which is good

Most sticks I've used are thicker than these. Ptex tape is good for some scratches, but it's a good compromise between tape and thicker sticks. They melt more evenly and skis with foam cores burn through less often.

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
