I recently custom made the side fenders and rear diffuser for my car. I used thin .040 aluminum. Thin, custom-made metal naturally forms sharp edges. I looked everywhere (in my warehouse at home, in stores, etc.) for something that might work, but then I settled on Amazon. I actually used this on a dumbbell rack at the gym that had a slightly sharp edge that could damage my rubber dumbbells on impact. The thickness is actually 0.15 inches (I measured with vernier calipers) and the product says it will fit up to 0.078 inches. I decided to take a chance. It fits wonderfully!
