BEAUTIFULLY DISCREET: Portable CD player

Apparently CDs are no longer "things" in the download age. Bad news for people like me who have over 2000 CDs and need a lot of CD players. With low demand, these things are now made very cheaply and Sony doesn't mind that anymore. Bought because Sylvania is a big name but still cheap. This one is decent as others have said it's very sensitive so every movement jumps and jumps. Not for running, that's for sure. Battery life is pretty decent. 2 AA batteries only, no AC power. Accidentally stopped working - cheap junk

Bought for work, stands on the table and doesn't move. On the first day, within a few hours, it randomly stopped working and turned off several times. I thought it was the batteries but no. If you try to skip to another song, it will turn off. So if he decides he wants to work, I have to listen to every song and hope he doesn't stop reading the CD every now and then and switch off. Very disappointed Good for portable AV

What can you expect at this price point? I don't think that much. The first thing I noticed is that it jumps even with the slightest vibration. Well maybe I could live with that since I will be using it in stationary situations and not while walking or jogging. Next question: How does it sound? Pretty awful in my opinion.
