DOUBLE CHECK WHAT SIZE YOU NEED.

I have no idea if this will work because Revain/Slyvania has the wrong parts for my car. This suggests that the 9005 will fit my Honda Ridgeline. It's not like that at all. I need part 9003. DON'T THINK "garage" here. I'm not sure who is responsible for this, but Sylvania needs to make sure the Revain info is correct for her car parts, which isn't the case.

Total disappointment 😞

These headlights are NOT AS BRIGHT as advertised. I am very disappointed with the price I paid according to the picture on the box. VERY ERROR! ! ! They are as bright as regular headlights but a far cry from what the packaging says they would have you believe. Now, 5 months later, one has already exploded! DO NOT BUY! REST IN PEACE! !

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Retrofittable

Really brightens the night

Replacing traditional incandescent bulbs with brighter ones; They were much brighter and more powerful, allowing me to see better in the dark. My problem with them is that they burn out pretty quickly, and on my truck, changing the bulbs in the right hand side lamp is a real hassle. After inserting one plunger on the right side and the other on the left, I was stopped twice by local gendarmes and I had to explain why and how.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

The packaging of the pears was open.

the package has not been opened. It's about a man who thought it was a good idea to ship lightbulbs with the packaging open. As you know you must not touch the glass part as you can see in one of the pictures. It looks like they have been used once. The blue part of the bulb is scratched and looks like it has small cracks. At this point I have to work tonight so I'll install them and hope they work. I hope they send me some new ones but I know I will install them.

Not as bright as they say.

Not very bright. Note. I also have regular clear Sylvania 9005 bulbs and they have lasted me for over three years. In fact, those old standard Sylvania bulbs lasted about 10 years before dying and dimming, and were only about $7 each. Then I pay about $30 for these premium Sylvania Silverstars and am very disappointed because they are not as bright and the aperture is worse. Maybe because the manufacturer puts this blue tint at the end, which is supposed to cloud the distance view rather than…

You just have to be whiter to be perfect!

Got this for my 2014 Corolla and have to say the difference is noticeable. The car defaults to Sylvania Basic 9005, so this upgrade is easily measured. At first glance and if you look straight at the car you won't see much of a difference in light intensity (which is good because you won't blind other drivers). But if you look down, you notice a stronger light. This lamp has a really large coverage area. My only complaint is that even though they advertise it as "whiter light" than OEM, the…

Great headlights up to a year

I decided to try the Silverstar Ultra High glasses because I have poor vision and find it difficult to see at night. After reading the reviews I realized I had to use surgical gloves when installing the headlights. The headlights were very easy to install and I used gloves as it is well known that touching the bulb with your skin can burn out the light prematurely. The headlights were pretty bright. They're not even close to LED headlights, but they're ridiculously bright. These headlights are…

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Legacy model

I installed these lights on my Acura NSX to replace a set of stock bulbs and what a difference ! It used to be that the headlights (both near and far) were kind of dull and yellow. Another NSX owner who saw the bulbs advised me to switch to Sylvania SilverStars for safety reasons: the more light, the better the driver sees... and the better you can see at night, the better you can avoid accidents. For example, if you can see farther, you'll get more warnings when you need to stop abruptly. So I

Big improvement. . .

These bulbs are a direct replacement for the high beam on my 2008 GMC Sierra (Denali) and they work great. I've always been a bit disappointed with the performance of the stock headlights. I've been looking for a replacement (9005) for high beam (and low beam, but that's another review) for a few months. I've recently had cars with xenon headlights and wanted something comparable in terms of brightness and visibility on the road. The standard headlights, while workable, are not at the level I…
