Mixed feelings. The hardware is perfect - everything works out of the box with 2 Samsung Enterprise Class 2210 drives, but very little increase in performance with daily use. Only settings that toggle "skip serial I/O" on or off respectively. Very little actual performance improvement over the no-cache setup. I bought this and it didn't work on my particular Synology NAS model so I thought hmm let's let's try it on my Asus z490 PC with Windows 10. And I'm very happy. Here's a tip: with 2 cards and 4 NVMe I get 10,000 MB/s. Check out the attached AS SSD and CrystalDiskMark NVMe performance chart. So I bought this card for a non-Synology use case and as with the others, all components (10Gbe and m.2 slots) are recognized with no issues. The only thing I see as a problem is the cooling. Since it was designed for a specific Synology case, it has heatsinks designed for specific cooling. Technically supported only for Synology. But that's not why most people end up here on Amazon. Win10 Pro recognizes the driver but cannot find it. It's not plug-n-play and the Synology website doesn't even offer driver support.
