I'm sure it's great for carpet but personally I use it to cover the body of my truck. You can put most things in it and they won't slip. No fiddling with blocking parts of the bed or tying something that isn't too high (which will fall off anyway). Super easy and way cheaper than a sheet!

After reading reviews about tape ruining floors I bought this and have no regrets! It keeps the mat in place well. It pays to make sure the carpet doesn't slip from under your feet! I have used this material as shelf liners and for gripping spaghetti sauce lids so I can unscrew them. It has many great uses!

I have three playful dogs who play a lot of tag around the house. It drives out almost every carpet I have. I bought this rug pad next to my bed and it has successfully stabilized this overused rug that has never stayed in place. I will be buying more for all my other rugs. I don't know if this will have any negative impact on my hardwood floors as I've only just started using the pad.

I have a huge 10 x 7 rug on the hardwood floor in my living room. The pillow really helped him not to move as much, but he's still moving. I love that it adds a bit more padding. Once my new furniture arrives the edges of the rug will be partially under the sofa and 2 seater so that helps a bit. I didn't want this to work wonders and for the most part it didn't help the rug stay in place. My husky took it as a challenge and decided to prove himself lol, not too bad overall.

I use this over a hardwood floor to keep the mat in place - it works. . This app does NOT work. The misalignment of the treadmill in the hallway could be due to my dog running on it, so I'm not entirely sure if this product is to blame. tipping over during an earthquake tremors. Of course it wouldn't help in a big earthquake, but it did keep some things in the light diffusers from dancing off the shelves.
