Not suitable for deer hunting - VERY noisy.

This item was purchased to store my portable GPS. One day in the field and I stopped using it. VERY LOUD. Will scare every deer/moose around you!

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Periodicity

But does the job. - Sports & Fitness

I lost my range finder, bought a new one and immediately donned this retractable lanyard. A good thing. After looking closely at the deer on the stalk and taking a quick shot, I moved to see which way it was going. After a while I realized that I hadn't holstered the range finder before launch. He hung on a string, preventing another loss. However, it makes a bit of noise every now and then. Most noticeable on windless days. I'm not sure what would be best, so I'll keep using it for now.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • So far so good

Works like: Hunting

Bought for my Leupold RX / 2800 TBR / W digital rangefinder. Better than the cable that came with it. hardly. It is difficult to take off the rangefinder, it does not retract fully, although the weight of the rangefinder is less than what is specified for the product. So it's ok, not great. I recommend this product but with some caveats.

Pros
  • Sports and fitness
Cons
  • There are nuances

Great for Kayakers in Hunting Accessories

If you're a kayaker you know that anything that isn't attached will eventually get lost. These retaining straps are a great way to store pliers, bogu, clippers, radio, phone, etc. The only downside is the size of the reel. It's a little bit more than I would have liked. It's solid though, everything is secure and easy to attach to my Hobie Outback. I fish in salt water and regularly spray them inside and out with a little WD40 to keep the salt water from attacking the fine details. There were…

Cozy! The entry barrier is a bit tricky.

I like this product. The body looks strong. I haven't really stress tested it, but it certainly doesn't seem fragile. I love that it offers multiple mounting styles and that the cable lug portion is modular with other Boomerang Tool Company products. What strikes me as a star is that the switch for toggling the immobilization lock doesn't look well made. It gets stuck a bit at times and lacks the free play to do more than jiggle back and forth, which technically still basically allows it to…
