It's great, but this is the second time I've had to do it.

This is great but this is the second one I have had to buy as a replacement. I don't know if it's winter weather or what, but it breaks pretty easily. Apparently it's made of metal. but I don't see where it's metal. like 95% plastic. What can you do?. it's the only one there.

Better than the serial part, but still with defects.

Works well. Four stars because the part that breaks (the post holding the swing arm) is *not* metal. I'd like to see it all molded and painted instead of attaching metal parts to plastic parts. You simply move the breakpoint back one step toward the handle.

Broke in just a few moves.

Replaced the broken one with this one, the lever drive is still plastic, that's the part that keeps breaking. I found a replacement metal lever by disassembling the assembly. This was the first part of a small batch provided by a frustrated or just plain creative EBAY seller. The part is CNC machined aluminum and anodized. Perfect part/repair for OEM.

Easy to install! The price is correct!

Ordered for my 2001 Sonoma. Installation less than 10 minutes. The price was right. This is the second replacement of this item on my truck. Let's just say the first time was expensive and lasted less than 6 months. It went a long time without the 3rd door. I couldn't believe I had waited so long for something so simple. I hope that the metal lever will change the life of this part. I will be back for another update.

Answered prayer

After replacing this part 5 times in the past. I gave up and accepted the two-door car. The latter opened the door once before leaving. When I got it I thought it was plastic. Has a powder coating. I scraped it in an inconspicuous spot to reveal the shiny metal. I had it not long ago but have received a few dozen uses of it and I hope it will last. I'm glad Revane suggested this because I wouldn't look for it and it's nice to have a working door.

EDIT UPDATE 10/23. The handle is NOT metal and broke immediately.

I have sent snap photos - to include part # - so they can send me the correct part that matches the description. 2) The replacement item was received BEFORE the estimated date shown on the packing slip. Cons: It was the exact same plastic item with a plastic handle that I received the first time. Same packaging, same part number. The same cheap plastic pen I've circled in the attached image. RESULT: I did NOT install this replacement grip as the first one broke right away so I don't trust it…
