Game-Changing Motion Detector!

Security and surveillance does not last long

Bought three. They have all been fine-tuned using the Arduino Uno and the new Ping library. For a while they work perfectly, nice and stable, and then they fail. The first lasted 4 months. The second and third lasted less than 24 hours. Not waterproof. The rubber grommets around the transducers do not seal well. So basically worth nothing.

Ultronic's waterproof ultrasonic sensor is great for measuring hydroponic tanks - use the Arduino ping sketch.

English instructions are missing, and it is easy to deal with four wires. The sensor is a PWM output, which lends itself well to using a simple Arduino ping sketch to monitor and a serial monitor to output readings. Laboratory tests are confirmed by water level measurements in a 5-gallon orange pail from Home Depot.
