TSA - Hassle Free Belts

I've wanted a belt for so long that I can get through the TSA with no problems. I finally found it. This harness is heavy duty with a well designed buckle that is identical (but smaller) to those used for scuba diving. When it snaps it holds great without slipping. If you're tired of an agent telling you to take your belt off (because there's some metal in the buckle) just so he can inspect it, this belt is for you. Four flights so far and I'm going through the scanner.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Doubt

Nice strap, very light, made of durable nylon material. The buckle works very well and the strap does not slip or loosen when worn. The only comment I have is that while it stays tight, it's a little awkward to attach the strap. but after a few times it dawned on me how to hold and snap it means it makes sense. Also, leave extra length when trimming the belt. You need to hold it while you attach it. This belt is very light and comfortable, making it ideal for travel, work or sports. All in all…

Pros
  • Not only usable for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Good construction and adjustability.

Beautifully designed. I was a bit wary of the plastic clasp but it seems solid and should last as long as the weave material. See cutting instructions. When they say to use "sharp scissors," they're not kidding. I thought sharp scissors would hardly be up to the task, but I did a wonderful job. Good option for a tall guy like me (waist 46 inches). It's also good for adjustment, you don't always get stuck in holes. Sometimes different pants fit differently and this belt fits them well.

Pros
  • Oversized, tall and high waist belt, fits a size 60, 64" overall length, cut and sewn to fit all sizes up to a size 60, 1-1/2" wide
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

I had doubts! I will never buy a belt anywhere else again!

Wow! I weigh 450 pounds and thought this belt wouldn't hold up (ba dum tiss). I've torn those cheap ratchet straps so bad I'm tired of wasting money. I absolutely LOVE this belt! You think the plastic buckle will break, but it's made of very durable plastic, which is great. I think it's ABS but I could be wrong. I saw a youtube video reviewing the belt and they told me not to buy it because the quality is lower. But I didn't see that the belt had deformed a bit over time. They also said the…

Pros
  • Made in the USA in our Haverhill, Massachusetts
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

If, like me, you regularly go through metal detectors and security checks but want to avoid the hassle of removing your belt, this is your answer . For years I've been stopped at sporting events, concert halls, amusement parks, etc. because my full-size belt buckle "beeped" on a metal detector. I pointed to the belt buckle and they either confirmed it with a stick in hand or waved at me. Now you might be thinking "why don't you just take the belt off"? Who wants to go through that when there…
