Good lens so far. - Lenses for SLR cameras

.Autofocus died and it turned out that Tamron would not touch gray market lenses. If I had bought through an authorized dealer the warranty would have been 6 years. Of course I would have paid more. Buy this international version at your own risk. It was a good lens when it worked.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Absolutely shocked at the price

The lens looks very nice. The images created are so great I don't care that it's not f/2.8! The VC is BEST IN CLASS and I have no complaints other than it's a great lens! Absolutely worth your money! (Sometimes it also serves as a telescope)

Pros
  • Keeping my fists
Cons
  • Zero

You get what you pay for

This lens is a bit soft at 300mm, wide open but gets sharper at f8 and f11. In low light the autofocus seems unreliable compared to my other Tamrom lenses, particularly the exquisite f2.8 70-200 VC. But it's a lot lighter than my Nikon 200-500, making it perfect for photographing ducks waddling across the lake.

Pros
  • Long range
Cons
  • Weight
