Really the best in crafting

To get a good leather edge you need this material. I don't know what the name means, but it has worked for me on my various low-end projects. Buy good glue and edging glue cheaply, so why not get the right supplies to do it right.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Nothing

Not required if you already use an edge coating

I bought tagacantha gum out of curiosity. Now I know. This is not necessary if you are using an edge coating. You can polish the edge coating or not. The edge usually looks unpolished, or better when rubbed quickly with a polishing rod.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

what i missed good for tinkering

i had trouble finishing the edges on thin leather, it helped with the wood polish you use with your dremel. If the manual water polisher method doesn't work for you, take this material and a Dremel polisher and your problem is solved.

Pros
  • expensive but decent
Cons
  • not fashionable

Definitely helps with polishing most of the time

When it works it seems to work very well. However, sometimes it doesn't seem to work at all, even side by side on the same piece of skin. It's more likely a defect/stain/dirty part of the leather, but that was my very amateur experience.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

One small step forward

Little of it counts. After shaking it as instructed, I remove the cap and use the residue on the cap to wet the edge of the leather before buffing. If so, my grandchildren will be using the same bottle long after I'm gone.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

That works great. The thumbnail doesn't really fit.

Works great. The size on the thumbnail doesn't really match the product. Good for buffing leather edges and works better than water from what I've heard. The liquid smells a bit like Lysol, so don't worry, but be sure to wash your hands afterwards.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
