I have never made anything out of leather and actually I wanted to make a snake skin out of a wallet and it worked great. The instructions were difficult to follow, but if you have access to YouTube, assembly is a breeze!

Fantastic wallet set! The skin was very supple and the inside is also great. You don't need rubber glue to finish this like the description says so don't waste your money buying it. This is the same great leather wallet that Tandy has made for years. It's fairly easy to put together, but tricky to figure out the loop stitch that runs around the perimeter and holds everything together. The instructions provided are difficult to follow for this particular step, but if you search the internet you can find videos that Tandy has posted showing how to do the stitch, making it a lot easier. I built one of these over 20 years ago and the kit is still as good as it was then.
