This is a very, very powerful flash that totally blurs most of the photos I take at home. And when I say "blurry," I mean I get a completely white photo when I'm less than 6 feet from the subject and at 15 feet it's still severely overexposed. Shooting the flash straight up to bounce off an 8ft ceiling will still over-illuminate the subject. My results were slightly better with a 10 foot ceiling. Great flash, especially for small spaces like my bedroom or other spaces. Pretty thoughtful design, affordable price and easy to carry in your pocket. Now I can leave my big flash (Neewer TT560) at home when the event is small and intimate. I am currently working with an optical slave to power my Olympus EPL1 and Sony A3000 which is very problematic. No optical slave is required for my Olympus E420 and EPL2.
