bought these for my son to wear over scouts weekend. He's 5ft 8in, 150lbs, has a slim build and the size of these pants (size petite) is perfect. The length and waist are perfect, not too tight. The temp was between 25F and 35F all weekend, he wore a thin base layer with these pants and was perfectly comfortable. These pants are wonderful, very comfortable and soft inside. The material on the outside is windproof and well protected from the wind. The seams on the knees match your knees when they bend really well. The zippers on the pockets work really well and keep things in your pockets when you ride your motorcycle without worrying about things falling out of your pockets. Update 10/22/21: I wore these on a weekend hike when the weather was under 50 most of the time which was a bit hot for them. It was quite windy (25mph) and they seemed to block the wind well. It was supposed to rain, but it didn't rain during the day so I didn't have time to check the water resistance. However, they do NOT breathe at all and as a result, my feet got wet and wet from the inside. They wouldn't be warm enough for snow as a single layer, but windy beach weather in the 50's was warm

I give these pants 5 stars even though I sent them back. These pants are very well made, but I sent them back because they were too tight in the bottom. Size XL fits my 40 inch waist very well but they were tight around the buttocks. Technically they fit me. I just didn't like how they fit. I don't like tight pants. I liked how they look.
