I use these bulbs in my kitchen as needed.

I use these bulbs in my kitchen as we need 4. They really saved me a lot of money compared to the old guy that used 65 watts, each used a lot less. I've replaced all the lightbulbs in my entire house with CFLs and have saved $25-$30 a month on my electric bills.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • expensive

It's pretty bad

It's pretty bad. Far from 2700k color. It's like a dimly lit office where your co-workers are constantly sick with the flu and are standing around a water dispenser discussing this stupid sitcom. Always warm. Spend more money and get a TCP LED stream. I have both and the LED is light years ahead of this crappy bulb.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

More diffuse than desired, good amount of light

Provides light equivalent to a 60w incandescent bulb. It could have been better. Next time I'll go with LEDs because I prefer a more focused beam. The light is more diffused than desired and much more than incandescent. I think there are two reasons: 1. It's a CFL and 2. It has a hazy diffuser coating on the front.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Expensive

Stay away! - Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

Save money and get better quality lightbulbs! I bought 4 of these to use in our 3 bulb track lighting and now we have ONE of 4 bulbs that still works! Very poor quality I would say and now I've gone elsewhere for my next purchase. They were supposed to last 7.4 years and all 3 in the caterpillar burned out in 8 months. I think calling them "lightbulbs" is a joke. More like "NO-LIGHT" bulbs. lol! Stay away if you want value for money.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Great price great bulbs

Recently moved and our new house has dozens of recessed lights that use this type of bulb. I decided to replace the old incandescent bulbs with fluorescent ones as the old ones are dying. They were the cheapest I could find and I ordered them hoping there wouldn't be any obvious (pun intended) problems. Very happy to report they work great. Like all CFL bulbs, they take some time to warm up and reach maximum brightness, but this lag has never bothered me. The light from them has a nice warm…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • dim
