Just awesome! on Bulbs

Bought two of these as an experiment to replace some of the ceiling lights in the living room. They are amazing. The light is bright, much brighter than I expected and the daylight color is excellent. While they don't buzz and don't heat up, they just turn on and work right away. Do not compare the same "power" indicators. The lamps have a certain weight and look very solid and well made. Pros
  • Looks like a standard BR30 bulb
Cons
  • Discontinued

Review BR30 Daylight Non-dimmable

Bought a cheap track light to install in the garage. The track lighting used soft white 65W BR30 bulbs. They put out a nominal 600 lumens. I bought these to replace as daylight is better for work areas and warm white is better for relaxing. These bulbs are significantly brighter (an additional 600 nominal lumens, just like buying an extra bulb) and 6 bulbs use less power than 1 bulb. I switched my whole house to LEDs and got a bit fanatical. I was thrilled to save energy on my utility bills and

Pros
  • Non-dimmable
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
