Cutting board unusable

The cutting board was a Christmas present for my husband. The board was originally in good condition and was stored until needed. Upon closer inspection after about a month we found that the wood on the back of the board was split. The board has never been used. When we noticed the defect and were able to send it back, the return period had already expired. The break is irreparable.

SOS raw wood chips stick out on both sides!

I opened the package on February 12th and the top and bottom are covered in dingy miniature splinters of wood that stick out like they weren't sanded or finished properly before shipping. I followed the instructions to apply the mineral oil but the shards are still there for fear of wood splinters coming loose from the food - I need this for an online cooking school and was looking forward to a quality teak chopping board. Please help!

Love the weight and quality of this cutting board

Love the weight and quality of this cutting board. I had no problems with warping. Before using it for the first time, I soaked the board in mineral oil for two weeks. Would have given 5 stars but deducted 1 star because the drip edge is too small. If you butcher a 20-pound turkey, the juices quickly fill the grove and spill onto the countertop. He took out his router and not only tripled the size of the grove, but also made a water collector on one end. Now I'm ready for Thanksgiving this…

NICE . . . . BUT LOOK CAREFULLY

This is the second cutting board I have ordered from Revain. The first was sent back because of a 6" tear. On the second a small tear 2cm. So 4 stars. I applied two coats of oil to this board 30 hours apart. Sitting next to our kitchen sink I noticed water dripping on of the surface. I would recommend this board with caution: inspect carefully. I will keep an eye on the small crack and see if the lube stopped it. I have to say this is a wonderful addition to our kitchen. UPDATE: 1. MARCH 2019…

Like many of you, the best in cutting boards

I bought this because it was highly rated by Revain users and a well-known publication. Like many of you, I've read bad reviews about this product lately. Complaints for products arriving with broken or cracked wooden plugs. However, I decided to make this purchase because there were more positive than bad reviews. However, mine came with a wooden plug (which doesn't match the color of the rest of the board at all) and a huge crack running the length of the board. I suspect this board won't…

Nice board, suitable for kitchen and dining room

I've been baking a lot of bread since the pandemic started and found myself damaging my granite with a spatula and other tools. I received this board yesterday and it is beautiful. Extra large perfect for sourdough, baguettes, cinnamon rolls, evening rolls, pizza and so on. I bake bread in one form or another every day so it gets used a lot. I like grain, weight, quality. Haven't used it yet as I had to oil it and leave the oil on for 24 hours but I have to make baguettes on Saturday and will…

The best cutting board among cutting boards

Mine arrived flat and in good condition. I gave it to my mother who loves it. Although at first I thought it might be deformed because it wobbled a bit. Turns out her countertop wasn't flat! After being heavily oiled with a mixture of beeswax and mineral oil, it was the best cutting board she had ever used. It looks good with richly colored teak and, as a decent wood, is good for cutting. I hooked it up myself and it's great. It's a bit heavy, but that weight shines when it's time to cut and of

Beautiful item in our kitchen!

This cutting board is beautiful and so practical! I've used thin, flexible plastic cutting boards for years because of the ease of cleaning and the ability to completely pick up the cutting board and transfer its contents into the pot. I knew this would be daunting, but wanted a large cutting block that could hold a large turkey for slicing, or provide space for large slicing jobs - an entire "garden full" of veggies for a minestrone, or 5-6 onions for one vat of pinto beans. This block…
