Must have a Lemon

Connected to a 12V DC power supply, an ammeter clamped around the wire; turns on for 1-2 seconds: the device consumes only 1.5 amps. Tried another stand delivery with the same results. Must have a lemon. Got through the return process with no problems. The company credited the refund within 24 hours.

This is the best TEC in Computers & Accessories

Not much to say here. The product corresponds to the ad. With sufficient cooling of the hot side, we managed to get the cold side well below freezing. It is now in my son's computer as part of his cooling system. Note that this caused about a 1V drop on the 12V rail of the 450W PC PSU we used for testing. Not exactly sure why, maybe a power issue. A cheap switching power supply like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ANG9B4M/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_8 handled it with no problem.

Works but does not meet TEC1-12710 specifications.

This device, which uses a liquid cooling system to cool the hot side to around 30Β°C, does NOT meet the TEC1-12710 specifications. However, its performance is close to that of the TEC1-12706, which is a lower power consumption device. The device appears to behave this way regardless of temperature differences or thermal stress. This leads me to believe the blocks are either mislabeled on purpose or have poor quality control. It wouldn't surprise me. I'm disappointed but not worth the hassle of…

PERFECT! suitable for radiators

Short and simple. The Peltier 12710 also worked perfectly at an output power slightly above the rated 154W. Now I'm using it for scientific testing, I connected it to a regulated LAB power supply and monitored its response at different power levels (from 3 to 12V). At 3V it can be used without a heatsink and you can easily find the cold side as the hot side reaches about 100 degrees (f) which is well below the tjmax temperature. Also, I noticed that the side with the model number printed on it…
