I bought several of them. I have a 14 year old golden retriever mix and I have slippery slick floors. Not a very good combination. My Murray's legs kept slipping out from under him as he couldn't find a footing. He also had nothing to hold onto to get back up. I've started lining my floors with these rugs and they work great. This is for practical purposes, of course, and not for looks, although they won't stand out too much on darker hardwood floors. I know they will have many alternative uses
