TECKWRAP Opal White Holographic Chrome Craft Vinyl Roll, 1ft x 5ft Review

This holographic vinyl is one of my favorites. I love it with white or blue back. It has a great color combination! I have a design I made on the outside of my car window. I wore it all summer and there was no fading or oxidation. It withstands the hot desert weather conditions found in Utah. I've already washed the car with him and there are no problems there either!

After working with the first 3 rolls I bought this beautiful vinyl, I was in love! BUT. had to back order 2 more rolls to complete the project and immediately dived in and cut almost a whole roll. Went to the weed and to my SURPRISE it was a completely different product! The color is different, much thicker (not cut) not so sticky. A whole roll wasted! 😤😱🤯🤦‍♀️ I'm currently working with the company and will keep you updated.

So this material is not like other Techwrap holographic vinyl sheets I have bought before. I'm used to the material that comes with a clear film to protect before use, it's thin and sticks like regular vinyl. It's a lot thicker than usual! It doesn't have that protective layer so you have to be VERY careful with it and it blisters and creases easily so I messed up a few pieces of it just to try to get it off the cutting mat. I bought blue hyacinth and white opal. Still waiting for the opal to come today. Very nice vinyl BUT the blue color doesn't suit me. I tried the holographic setting first and it didn't go through completely. So I tried again with the vinyl setting, still didn't cut through. As soon as I started unfolding the vinyl, it began to wrinkle and blister. It was impossible to get a section that didn't and I turned around a few yards to see if things got any better. Nice color but total junk. It is unacceptable to me to cut a small piece of 3-4 inches to use. I want to cut a nice 12" piece and can't even get close to a 12x12 sheet that won't blister. I have ordered tecwrap vinyl from Eagle Mart before and was not disappointed. They were easy to weed, the paper backing was heavier. However the last time I ordered a new roll (Opal) the packaging seemed wrong and I don't think it was a legitimate Tecwrap product.
