Tecsun PL-380 or PL-310ET?

I recently had the opportunity to compare Tecsun PL-380 and PL-310ET. I was curious as to why Tecsun sells two identical radios. Here are my observations. I will simply refer to the 310ET as the 310. The 380 and 310 are the same size (the 310 appears to be slightly larger). Model 310 has a connector for an external antenna. not on the 380. The 310 has a tuning dial. 380 has a tuning wheel. Both have big wheels. The 380 has a slightly larger LCD display. Both have rear racks. The Model 380 comes

Pros
  • Broadband VHF receiver (64 - 108 MHz) with part of the campus radio and 2 - 5 TV channels. Sound programs
Cons
  • flimsy

Very good pocket multi-band walkie-talkie for the money. Here's what it's good for: battery life. This requires ordinary AA batteries (3), which last a long time. Measured current (power consumption) 30 mA at medium volume. It is very good! Batteries can last a very long time with occasional use, and AA batteries aren't all that expensive. It also has a battery level indicator on the front display (not the usual one, but very nice). It can also be powered from a standard full-size USB port (5…

Pros
  • Up to 550 radio frequencies can be stored manually, semi-automatically, fully automatically (ATS): 100 FM/MW/LW stations each can be stored, shortwave can be stored.
Cons
  • Angry

Tecsun PL-380 superb small shortwave radio receiver

I bought a Tecsun PL-380 for use in my tiny cabin, mainly for receiving shortwave news from around the world, and it suits my application perfectly. It receives AM (MW), FM, SW and LW broadcasts. As with all shortwave radio, reception is best at night and is subject to atmospheric conditions, so keep that in mind. I use it to receive shortwave broadcasts from all over the world. I've noticed that some reviews mention signal overload when using a long wire antenna attached to a telescopic…

Pros
  • It receives FM stereo, AM, longwave, shortwave (2.3-21.95MHz) radio programs, convenient, multi-functional, easy to use.
Cons
  • Fits
