They are strong and durable depending on what you put on them. With regular polish they last a week or two but with gel they are very strong, they last longer and they are still very easy to shape. There is one thing I don't use with the glue that comes with the kit, I use the nail glue that Sally gave me, which definitely adds to the durability. The nails appear to be strong but the product description says size 0 is 0.61 inch which is much smaller. I'm cursed with a big thumb and that's too small to fit in. Such a disappointment!

UPDATE! It's been 2 weeks and the nail hasn't fallen off but two have snapped and the others are bent. Unfortunately I intend to return the product. Almost every nail fell off when I used the included glue. I started over and used the NYK1 Nail Bond Brush On Nail Glue instead, not a single nail fell off. I've washed my hair, put away the groceries, typed, etc., and every nail is still in place. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the glue.

Definitely something to lose, something to gain with it. The files were freaking awesome and I love them. The nail glue didn't last forever. very frustrating because I kept trying to get him to do his job and even had a nice chat with him until I realized I was ruining my mood because (maybe) it wasn't even real nail glue or any glue at all .
