Grameat hammer for punching jewelry!

I bought a Tekton brass hammer to emboss metal jewelry on rose gold, gold and silver. I have read that a brass hammer gives much better results for this type of application and with much more stability. I've been very impressed so far. After stamping about 50-100 pieces this hammer seems to be holding up very well. There are some small dents on the hammer head from the metal punches I use, but that's to be expected. Thank you for reading and appreciating my review!

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • hard to say

I am a mechanic and I use this brass hammer for work, the quality is excellent. Tekton is becoming a great place to buy tools, not always, the more you spend the better. The better I bought for top brands and some of them break just as easily as cheap tools and there aren't many people making tools in the US these days but other than that the construction is great and does the job well and from my personal experience it seems like it's going to be a long time okay guys

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • working speed

My Best Claw Hammer

Now that I have this hammer I usually keep it in my tool box. I used to use a ball hammer and a brass punch, but I've found that using this brass hammer is much more effective when I can fit the hammer head in my workbench. I haven't grown to love it yet, but when I do I'll just take it to the belt sander and it'll be like new! I have a 1 pound brass hammer and it fits. It's not overly difficult, but I can still knock things out when I need to, usually without fear of messing things up. For…

Great hammer for hammers

I work as a mold setter for a large automotive injection mold so I use this brass hammer almost every day. I bang the shit out of the molds with this hammer by swinging it as hard as I can and this handle holds the shape perfectly. This is brass so obviously a soft metal it will grow like a mushroom which is normal for any brass hammer so you won't damage your molds or anything. I would recommend this hammer to anyone who needs a brass hammer, especially for setting shapes. The handle is a…

Tekton can't go wrong

I'm a mechanic at a dealership and do a lot of suspension work and I really needed a brass hammer to knock out components without risk of damaging threads or breaking something with a steel hammer. Ordered 6 months ago and use it almost every day. The face piece on mine is definitely cracked, but not chipped or deformed, just a slight fungus around the edges, which is to be expected when hammering steel with brass, but that doesn't affect function in any way. The handle and grip are still firm,

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Head fell off after a few uses

I own an auto repair shop and offer tools for entry level jobs. I bought this hammer because it had great reviews but my experience doesn't reflect that at all. After just a few controlled uses, I saw the head fall off this hammer. Luckily he fell on the catcher right after impact and didn't fly away during the swing and hurt no one. The epoxy didn't stick, the shaft didn't hit, just a defective/poorly designed hammer. I used the Revain Customer Service Center to contact the manufacturer for…

High quality and well made!

I bought this hammer because I lost one that I have used for 50 years. This new hammer is of high quality and beautifully finished. I use it for drive pin work and other light work. I wanted a hammer that size, not some lighter hammer heads as I'm used to using this size hammer for blacksmithing. I picked this hammer for the build quality. The brass head is perfectly shaped and firmly connected to the hammer handle. This is a good product and I gave it a 5 star rating. This is a quality…

Pros
  • Designed for cars, machine tools and assembly work.
