Better than HF but

The vise arrived with a very bent handle and was sticking out of the inner box. There is only double cardboard box at the bottom of the supplier carton and no other packaging to avoid damage. Revain threw this box in a double size box along with a sheet of paper to keep it from moving, so damage in transit is all but guaranteed. The handles themselves are fine. As mentioned by others, it contains almost no oil or grease, and the milled top of the anvil is coated in a very thick layer of lacquer

But the main spinning rod with the little rubber bushings isn't broken, and it's not broken. I've hit him regularly with a killing blow and haven't bowed yet. I use wrenches and pipes for rods and this thing takes them. These vices fit snugly on the handle and won't wobble easily in it. no…

I love the fact that this thing opens to about 6 inches (I can get 6-1/2 inches at most) and also the fact that it has very wide jaws (8 inches). Reasonable price with forged steel jaw. and an anvil with something like a cast iron base (cast iron scares me because of its lower strength). I mounted it on a…
