I have read the question and answers. because the actual Teledirect manufacturer said it was a 7 foot cable, I bought it. it is less than a meter long.

My kitties ruined 2 of my previous phone cords. You have no touchstone on this good phone cord. I'm not sure why they left it alone but I'm very happy!

As another reviewer correctly noted, this cable reversed the DC polarity when used to power a Valentine One radar detector. I've never seen this go wrong with any other similar cable.

This should work fine for regular phone lines (or AC signals). However, the order of the wires is reversed from the standard, so it won't work in applications where it is necessary to supply DC voltage with the correct polarity, like in my Valentine radar detector. The standard for RJ11 is that the wires in the two jacks are in reverse order, while in this product they are in the same order for both jacks. See photos if they ever come up.
