The battery lasted about 2 hours on a full charge before needing to be recharged.

This remote control was the best option for me. I could wear it and control my Hero 5 on a tripod or while wearing it. I was so happy to have this option and the ability to monitor places and see if they are recording. Fully charged the night before fishing. When I got to the creek and installed the GP on the chest. We were walking along the stream and filming when the remote died a few hours later. Otherwise this remote control is perfect.

Must have a GoPro accessory.

This is a must-have GoPro accessory for anyone who needs to control the camera remotely. This remote control is very easy to pair and use. It works very well with GoPro Hero 8 Black. This gives you practically complete control of your Gopro with this small remote control. The shortcut button is a nice feature, but it's important to note that this feature doesn't support timelapse mode, and according to the GoPro Hero 7 manual, it doesn't support this feature. TELEISN Smart Remote (TO2) for GoPro Hero8

Just received the remote after a month + after shipping by Swiss Post from China? The manual says nothing about working with the Hero 8. It says something about updating the firmware, but there are only manuals in the given place on the internet. The Telesin website doesn't even list this remote as a product and it doesn't have any downloads anyway. The remote listed is only for heroes up to 6.
