Great addition to stairs

It took my friend about 5 minutes to figure out how to use it (without instructions of course because he's a real man lol) no problem and it is a great space saver for our hikes and to take to work. Everyone has used it and loves it in their work. They're a little intimidated by the bow when you climb, used to the heavy longbows commonly used in the profession, but once you've spent a day at court you'll get over it.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Reliable, well made ladder

My husband bought one when he saw a motorhome salesman use it to climb onto the roof of a motorhome. Serves its purpose well, robust and very compact. It's really not as stable as a regular ladder since you're leaning it against what you're trying to climb. I held the ground as he climbed. I gave it five stars because it's great as long as you have a spotter, especially for travel when the usual stairs aren't possible.

This staircase has a much better design. The tires are wide and comfortable.

I am a property manager and have used a different brand of telescopic ladder for many years. This ladder had separate latches on either side of each rung that constricted the knuckles of the thumb. I've been using this for over a year now. This staircase has a much better design. The steps are wide, comfortable to stand on and folding requires just a click of the latch under the bottom rung. I use this ladder every day to get to the roof and attic and I highly recommend it.

Be very careful with this ladder

I bought this ladder to save space as a replacement for my long ladder. It does the job. BUT, it is NOT as stable as a hard ladder. That may already be clear. But they give us more. I almost fell off the top (about 4ft from the top) onto the concrete and broke most of the bones on my right side. It came out from under me. So my message is that it does its job of expanding and folding into a small form factor. But you can't use the same technique as on a regular hard ladder. Be very careful when

Let's rise! - Ladders

This ladder is the best thing after sliced bread! I like that and the easy up and easy release feature but mind your hands and lower yourself by first holding the top bars and then carefully lowering them onto the bottom bars. This item is more expensive than the much cheaper fakes, but do you really want to trust an inferior ladder for your safety? I'm glad I spent the extra money on this product. Great item for my camper on the road as I don't have a ladder attached and it's so compact I can…

Short-lived, short-lived

I bought this ladder for use in our RV where we don't have space to store a regular ladder. Although I like the design and functionality, the ladder stops extending after about 10 uses. I contacted Revain and TeleSteps and they said the warranty has expired and I just need to buy a new one. They came up with some simple lubrication options that didn't work, and they had no way to inexpensively repair or replace them. So now it's completely useless and I've got a $300 piece of junk. Needless to…

Love is a telescopic ladder

I like this telescopic ladder. Actually, I wrote this poem. ladder of love. I'll pick you up if you fall And pick you up when I'm around. I'm here to help you see everything. And if you ever hit a wall My strength is here to hold you up And help you rise above it all Hope is here at your call All day long I call your name To a flat head for my rig to bring And if We always paint the wall. You lift me up so I don't fall. Together forever and through it all. My love for you overcomes everything…

Comfortable but not as secure

This review is for the 1600EP. I am a home inspector and have several telesteps that I use every day. Last month, after about 11 months of use, this ladder began to collapse as the top section extended and locked into place at the partial extension level. It appears to be locked, but when a 10-pound downward force is applied to the top, the section collapses. Fully deployed sections remain deployed. It made me fall when I had a ladder in a customer's attic access door. When the short section…
